Trick-or-Treat for MH!Three members of the NS Key Club had their share of fun taking children from Mommas House around to trick-or-treat! Mommas house is a residence with 5 locations on Long Island, providing housing and support to young mothers and their children. All participants dressed up in their costumes to visit houses throughout Glen Cove. Pictured to the right is the group with smiles galore!

Key Clubbers decorated Momma's House for Halloween by painting pumpkins, and helping to set them up around the building. They brought lots of cheer to the children at Momma's House!

Key Club volunteers were love in motion when they arrived at Mommas House located in Glen Cove. They took the lead by preparing a wonderful Thanksgiving
Feast for the families. The pre-dinner activities included arts & crafts with the children, reading stories to the group, and balloons galore that added a special touch to the event. The dinner was catered and served by the key clubbers who baked special cupcakes and made an amazing center piece for the table. A special thanks to the North Shore Kiwanis Club that helped with the festivities. Pictured are the key clubbers and Kiwanian John Kle in action at the Thanksgiving feast. |

Holiday CelebrationThe blurb below was written and used by a local newspaper.
It was a great celebration for the holidays at Mommas House hosted by the North Shore Key Club. Mommas House provides housing for homeless mothers and their children. The Key Club has selected Mommas House as their Major Emphasis Project 2022-2023; each month creating a different activity. To begin the festivities for December, the key clubbers read letters written by the N.S. Middle School Builders Club, wishing each child a happy holiday. Then letter writing to Santa of course. This was followed by Kiwanian John Canning who arrived and read to the children, “The Night before Christmas.” This set the stage for the arrival of Santa Claus, played by Kiwanian John Kle, who gave out gifts purchased by the NS Key Club from a wish list provided by the manager of Mommas House. The evening ended with a catered dinner hosted by the key club and there were lots of smiles as the evening concluded with a chorus of Jingle Bells to end the party.
