One year ago today, the North Shore Key Club website was first created. Since then, there have been 30 blog posts and countless efforts to improve our community. We had a great year and look forward to another year of making a difference.

The North Shore Builders finishes another year of service 2016. “ Hand & Hand” with the NS Key Club, they have won accolades as a distinguished club in New York State for their service to the community. Pictured are club members at the end of the year celebration, and the officers who were presented with certificates for outstanding service . Key Clubbers James Mastakouris and Robert Sharkey were also on hand for this presentation and to speak to the eighth graders and encouraging them to join the key Club in September. The North Shore Kiwanis Club is the sponsor of this dynamic club and is very proud of their fine accomplishments .
North Shore Kiwanis Club Recognizes North Shore High School Key Club Seniors For Community Service6/15/2016
It is always a proud moment at the end of the year for North Shore Kiwanis Club to recognize graduating seniors for their efforts and dedication throughout their high school career. These students are graduating with more than 500 hours of community service performed as North Shore High School Students. This is recognized as no easy task and the Kiwanis Club held a dinner on Thursday June 9th to recognize this accomplishment. All recipients received a plaque with their recorded community service hours. The North Shore Kiwanis Family once again participated in the annual Relay For Life event at North Shore High School. This is the 10th year both clubs joined hands for this event by donating $745.00 to the American cancer Society and provided service as well. The Kiwanians provided the BBQ that was free for all who attended the event; a thank you to the North Shore Community for attending to support this fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The Key Clubbers volunteered their service and assisted with the luminary bag fund raise. Key Club LG Division 4N Bella…..also stopped by to lend a hand. North Shore Kiwanis Club Presents Scholarships To North Shore High School Graduating Seniors 2016 6/12/2016
The North Shore Kiwanis Club annually presents 4 scholarships to graduating seniors at North Shore High school. This year’s recipients are: Elias Mastakouris, receiving the New York State Distinguished Past Kiwanis Governor Jim Hebron Memorial Scholarship of $4000.00. Three additional awards of $1000.00 each were presented to: Madalyn Conklin, Jessica Hannon, and Alaina Van Pak. The North Shore Kiwanis Club is very proud to be able to assist students financially with college expenses and look forward to continuing our focus on the North Shore Community. A special thank you to the Scholarship Chairperson Kiwanian Gary Craner and his committee for their time and effort to make the selection from more than 50 applicants who applied.
